Light, fresh, and full of flavour, this strawberry smoothie bowl is blended with creamy yoghurt and our Pure Unflavoured Organic Whey Protein to get your day off to a satisfying start.

We recommend topping the smoothie with a quick-to-make coconut and nut granola, roasted in a little honey or coconut sugar for the perfect warm crunch.

Nourishing with an indulgent taste, the bowl is ideal at breakfast or as a mid-afternoon energy boost.

Ingredients

For the smoothie bowl:

  • ½ cup frozen strawberries (120ml / ~75g)
  • ¼ tsp green cardamom seeds
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (240ml / ~245g)
  • 2 tsp honey (10ml / ~10g) — optional, adjust to taste
  • 2 scoops (25g) Pure Unflavoured Organic Whey Protein

For the granola:

  • ½ tbsp coconut oil (7.5ml / ~5g)
  • ¼ cup coconut flakes (60ml / ~15g)
  • ¼ cup mixed nuts (60ml / ~30g)
  • 1 tsp coconut sugar, or an alternative such as xylitol, honey, or date syrup

Directions

  1. Heat a frying pan and melt the coconut oil.
  2. Add coconut flakes and mixed nuts, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  3. Once slightly golden, add your chosen sweetener and heat for another 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  4. Blend all smoothie ingredients until smooth.
  5. Pour into a bowl, top with homemade granola, and serve immediately.
