Soft, nutty, and naturally sweet, these Christmas Protein Balls bring all the comfort of a classic festive treat in a nourishing, no-bake bite. Enjoy them as they are, or dip in dark chocolate for a rich, indulgent touch.

Ingredients

  • 10 dates
  • 1 scoop (12.5g) Madagascan Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
  • 25 grams ground almonds 
  • 25 grams pecans 
  • ½ tsp ginger
  • ½ tsp Ceylon cinnamon
  • ½ tsp allspice 
  • 2 tbsp tahini 
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • Optional: 40g dark chocolate, melted

Directions

  1. Add all the ingredients to a blender and whizz until the mixture comes together.
  2. If the mixture looks dry or isn’t quite sticking together, add a little more tahini and blitz the mixture again.
  3. Roll into balls.
  4. Dip the balls in melted dark chocolate, place on a lined baking tray, then allow the chocolate to set before eating.
  5. Alternatively, they can be enjoyed without the chocolate coating.

Tips

  • Preparation Tips: Lightly dampen your hands when rolling the mixture to prevent sticking and create smooth, even balls.
  • Subsitute Suggestion: No allspice? Add a pinch of nutmeg for extra warmth.
  • Storage Instruction: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
