We put the great taste down to using only fresh whey and not subjecting it to excessive temperatures during the filtration or spray drying process, which can sometimes lend a bitterness to the taste and ruin the fresh creamy flavour – not so with our organic whey protein!

Grass fed

The cows that produce the milk for our organic whey protein are fed grass every day of the year. During the winter months when the weather is too grim for them to be outside they are fed grass in the form of hay, silage or haylage.

It's organic

Organic means higher welfare standards. The cows graze outdoors for most of the year and when housed indoors during the winter they have plenty of room to move about, clean dry bedding, natural light and hay to feed on. You are also avoiding artificial pesticides, herbicides or genetically modified organisms, there is more wildlife, less pollution of waterways, healthier soil and happier bees. Bioactive proteins

In the case of our Pure Unflavoured organic whey protein, there is just one ingredient: our award winning grass fed organic whey protein. For our flavours we add a small number of quality organic whole foods to the whey protein for a fresh delicious taste, without resorting to artificial or “natural” flavourings. For a subtle sweetness we use a small amount of unrefined organic coconut sugar.

Made at low temperatures

Made using low temperature filtration at cutting edge facilities in Germany (our original organic whey range) and Austria (our organic whey isolate), preserving the natural properties of the whey and ensuring a smooth creamy taste, with no strange aftertaste.

Supporting Compassion in World Farming

We’ve donated over £30,000 to Compassion in World Farming to date and continue to donate 25p for every pack of organic whey protein made. They are helping to improve welfare standards around the world and many of their campaigns have directly resulted in wide-scale change, e.g. UK supermarkets stopping the sale of eggs from caged hens and playing a big part in helping end live animal exports.

Why whey protein

Whey protein is a high quality “complete” protein, which means it contains all 9 of the essential amino acids, in other words those that your body can’t produce on its own. It also contains all the Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) – which form the structure of new muscle tissue. It is readily absorbed by the muscles and also happens to be one of the most easily digested protein sources.
