There are hot chocolates, and then there’s this hot chocolate.

Thick, velvety, and deeply chocolatey, and with a not-so-secret dose of protein to keep you satisfied.

It’s the perfect mix of comfort and nourishment, made with our Cacao & Maca Organic Whey Protein Powder for a natural boost of magnesium and protein.

When you want to keep it simple: stir 2 scoops (~25g) into warm milk or water and enjoy.

But when you’re in the mood for something more indulgent (without any additives), here’s how to turn protein into a proper hug in a mug.

Ingredients

  • 2 scoops (~25g) of Cacao & Maca Organic Whey Protein
  • 1-2 teaspoons (2.5-5g) of cacao*
  • 1 teaspoon of honey, coconut sugar, or agave
  • 200ml (206g) of warm milk of your choice**

Directions

  1. Pop the protein, cacao and honey in your favourite mug.
  2. Add 1-2 tablespoons of milk and combine into a paste-like consistency. This step makes sure you don't end up with a lumpy hot chocolate!
  3. Add the milk gradually, stirring the drink well to dissolve the cacao fully.
  4. Enjoy!

Notes

  • **We made this recipe with organic whole milk. It gives you a luxurious and super smooth hot chocolate, but feel free to substitute any milk. The recipe works with both dairy and non-dairy milks.
  • Only have the unflavoured or vanilla blend to hand? No problem! Just increase the cacao by 2-3 teaspoons at a time until you achieve your perfect level of chocolatiness!
