Himarsha Venkatsamy

Himarsha Venkatsamy is an experienced Chartered Physiotherapist with a strong clinical background in evidence-based rehabilitation and patient-centered care.

She completed her BSc Physiotherapy degree in South Africa, and after 5 years working within clinical and community settings, she took a career break to pursue her passions and travel. Her experience working in public hospitals as well as rural and community settings in South Africa, has allowed her to support diverse communities and people from all walks of life.

She has returned to Physiotherapy here in the United Kingdom where she started in community based rehabilitation and currently works within the NHS as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. She has vast experience working in geriatric care and has supported patients both in hospital and at home. She feels seeing patients within their home settings has given her a deeper understanding of her clients and has helped her support them more holistically in gaining more independence and enhancing their quality of life.

In addition to her experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, she is a qualified yoga teacher and former professional model, bringing a refined understanding of body awareness and movement mechanics to clinical practice. Drawing on mindfulness principles and a deep appreciation of how people inhabit and experience their bodies, Himarsha takes a holistic, patient-centered approach to rehabilitation. She combines evidence-based treatment with movement re-education, breath-work, and practical strategies that empower patients to build resilience, confidence, and long-term physical and mental wellbeing.

She has a unique professional background that bridges clinical rehabilitation, movement practice, and embodied awareness. Passionate about helping individuals reconnect with their bodies in an empowered and informed way, Himarsha integrates clinical precision with mindful movement to support recovery, performance, and everyday function.
