Regular, independent laboratory testing is an important part of maintaining the quality and transparency of our organic whey protein. We’re pleased to share that our most recent 2026 results confirm that heavy metal levels remain exceptionally low, and well within recognised safety limits.
When you see a "<" symbol before a result, it indicates that the heavy metal was not detected at the laboratory's testing threshold. The number following the "<" represents the lowest level the lab can reliably detect. This doesn't guarantee complete absence, but confirms levels are below detectable limits.
How do we compare?
All our results fall significantly below EU regulatory limits (where limits exist). For arsenic, no EU limit has been established. Based on our research, we believe our products contain some of the lowest heavy metal levels you’ll find on the whey protein market today.
The reality of heavy metals
Heavy metals occur naturally in our environment and are present in virtually all foods to some degree. What matters is keeping exposure levels as low as reasonably possible. Our rigorous testing and sourcing practices ensure our whey proteins consistently demonstrate what we consider to be exceptionally low heavy metal levels. We remain committed to providing you with transparent, third-party verified results because your health and trust matter to us.For questions about our testing procedures or results, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team at hello@theorganicproteincompany.co.uk.
