The cows that produce milk for our organic whey protein have year round access to open pasture, where they graze freely on grass and clover. During winter they’re fed this same grass and clover in the form of silage or haylage, which is cut during the summer. This is supplemented with a small amount of organic grain to help maintain high levels of protein in their milk.
- When not outdoors, the cows are given lots of room to move, plenty of fresh air and clean comfortable bedding
- They’re reared without the routine use of drugs or antibiotics, and gm feed is forbidden.
- Organic calves are kept together in social groups, where they can interact with each other
